Why We Built Trevo
Trevo was born from first-hand experience.
Before founding Dijiti, our team spent many years working with recruitment, workforce management and enterprise technology across a wide range of South African industries. Despite advances in technology, we repeatedly encountered the same frustrations: recruitment processes that were unnecessarily slow, excessive manual administration, fragmented systems, endless email chains, and a lack of visibility for everyone involved.
At the same time, members of our team had the opportunity to redesign the recruitment process for one of South Africa's largest banking institutions. By rethinking the workflow, removing unnecessary bottlenecks and automating routine tasks, a recruitment process that previously took several weeks was reduced to just a few days. That experience demonstrated what was possible when technology was designed around people instead of processes.
Those lessons became the foundation of Trevo.
Our goal was never to replace people, but to remove the repetitive work that prevents them from making timely, informed decisions. By combining intelligent automation with AI-assisted recommendations, Trevo helps recruiters, managers and business leaders spend less time on administration and more time selecting the right people, responding faster to clients and building stronger teams.
From the outset, we also recognised that workforce management extends far beyond recruitment. Compliance, labour legislation, workforce planning, partnerships, client engagement and candidate experience all form part of the same journey. Trevo was therefore designed as a single, integrated platform that connects employers, recruitment partners, clients and candidates while supporting the operational and regulatory realities of doing business in South Africa.
Today, Trevo continues to evolve with one guiding principle: use technology to simplify complexity, empower people, and enable organisations to build better workforces with confidence.
